HELP... I am looking for a pro style gas range

Little did I know what I was getting into before I started doing research on how expensive these ovens really are.  I am not even talking about Wolf or Viking...!   I have read a few posts and blogs on various sites where people have claimed to bargain down the prices, is this really possible?  I am not looking for anything outrageous but my budget is about 3-4k, would that get me a decent 36 inch or 48inch?  ANY help or advice would be greatly appreciated...
